Reader-to-Reader in Atlanta Public Schools
CLC volunteers recently prepared and distributed 1500 books to 25 classrooms, ranging Pre-K through Fifth Grade, at Continental Colony Elementary School in Atlanta. The crates of books provided to teachers were curated to include high quality and reading level appropriate books for their students. Please contact CLC if you know an elementary school and/or teachers whose students would benefit from classroom collection of new and gently used books.

McIntosh Club
Children’s Literature for Children has a branch at McIntosh High School, directed by students Sophie and Kate Hollowell, with Ms. Bowles as a faculty sponsor. They collect and process gently-used children’s books for elementary schools on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Last year, the students processed books with pockets and cards, so books were ready to be checked out as soon as they arrived at Rosebud Elementary School.
