We Are Wendo is spearheaded by CLC board member Dr. Khaliah Johnson, and seeks to improve the health, safety, and well-being of vulnerable women and children in the Kilimani Village in Kenya by further developing and supporting the Kaimani Dispensary in the village center. The dispensary offers basic outpatient healthcare for women and children, immunization and growth monitoring for children under five, prenatal healthcare, HIV testing and counseling, and HIV treatment. The dispensary also houses a newly developed children’s library which serves as a safe space for women and children to gather within their own community.
